![]() Info for Thief Simulator can be found here. I recommend Thief Simulator, and if it is ever on sale it’s a great buy. It’ll bring you plenty of entertainment, definitely worthy of your time. But underneath all that is a game that’s actually pretty good. I initially thought this game wasn’t very good at first, just from looking at it. The graphics look horrendous in the pictures and screenshots. I really liked this loop, keeping the approach open but locking certain parts out so the player will go back. There will always be more to go back to, whether it be stealing out of the house’s safe, stealing car parts, and more. Choose from lots of possible approaches to prepare the best plan. As you level up, these items that seemed impossible to steal earlier are now easy pickings. Find out when the house is empty and does it have nosy neighbours. Thief Simulator is generally open on how you go about stealing, but you may be limited by items, weight, skills, or time. It’s not too hard but it does get harder. The difficulty has just the right amount of balance. These are tough not just to get in but also get out, as it is later in the game. You’ll need to hack, and do some extra careful sneaking. Later on however, you’ll be dealing with houses that have high tech security. The beginning is mainly sneaking around, lock picking, etc. Sell your items to get more cash, get better gear, then steal more things. I digress, the Pawn Shop is a major part of Thief Simulator. But yet he still buys these items off of you? It is a wonder that the cops haven’t found him out yet. He must surely know you have stolen these items, you literally come every few hours to sell these possessions. It adds incentive to go back to old houses and take a detour.Īnother strange thing is the Pawn Shop guy. Stole something almost worthless at the Pawn Shop? Sell it on the eBay type website. For example, if you don’t want to get caught, buy information. To be honest it was a little creepy, and still is. More like the “track people”, “buy information”, and “Thief eBay”. And in the end, I had an enjoyable time with the game.Īt first Thief Simulator was a little creepy. It’ll keep you on your toes, it’ll keep you playing with a satisfying gameplay loop. I am unsure if this is true, but my argument would be that gameplay always matters most. It is not one of those “must have” nindies, but if and when the game’s on sale, I can recommend it without a shadow of a doubt.Īgain, from first glance Thief Simulator appears to be an “asset flip”, where stock 3D models are taken and used in a game instead of their own. But after playing a good few hours, Thief Simulator is actually more than decent. That sort of game was what I thought this was. A game the developers made too big in scope. Why? From first glance, Thief Simulator looks like the typical shovelware game. ![]() You will be able to gain better experience in skills such as lockpicking, the amount of gear you carry, more stamina with large items on board, the list goes on. Obviously the simple premise of levelling up is stealing things and ensuring you’re successful in doing so. Stolen items can also be sold on the “blackbay” site (essentially the eBay for stolen goods) even old radios, newspapers and televisions can be sold.I’ve learned the classic “don’t judge a book by its cover” lesson again. This made me want to continue to play the game to reap the benefits so to speak. For this review, I have focused on the Nintendo Switch version of this game. Thief Simulator also has progress, where some items at our headquarters can be used after completing several missions. We can choose the target through a PC and a special forum for thieves (even thieves have a forum?) That will show details and how much profit can be obtained when stealing in the house. If you think this game Thief Simulator is a fairly easy game, you are wrong this game is quite complex and of course we will explain what interesting features are in this Thief Simulator game.Īt the beginning of the game, we can choose the target house that we will enter, to steal of course. Fortunately, they’ll let you earn it back by performing the odd job here and there, steal this painting, knick that television – whatever it takes to get them their money. The Lombards are rich and powerful and they want their money back. In Thief Simulator you’re a small-time criminal with a big debt owed to the Lombard family. ![]()
